Irvin Good Jr. pulled the target-shooting game after receiving a complaint from a Massachusetts woman attending a fair in Roseto, about 65 miles north of Philadelphia. Good said Wednesday his company, Hellertown-based Goodtime Amusements, won’t offer the game again.
“It was just a big, big mistake in judgment, and I feel sorry about it,” he told The Associated Press. “I can’t take it back, but I can try to make it better.”
The game, dubbed “Alien Attack,” featured a large painted image of a black man wearing a belt buckle with the presidential seal and holding a scroll labeled “Health Bill.” Players could win prizes such as stuffed animals by hitting targets on the image’s head and heart.
The game was featured in late July at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Big Time Celebration, an annual fair that raises money for the Roman Catholic parish in Roseto.
Kathryn Chapman, 55, of Medford, Mass., who spent part of her childhood in Roseto and was in town for a family reunion, spotted the game and complained to Good.
“What is the message you are sending kids, that if your views don’t agree with somebody else’s, shoot them? I just found it incredibly disrespectful and violent,” Chapman said Wednesday. “And this was the president, the highest office in the country. It was absolutely appalling.”
Good said that he voted for Obama and that the game wasn’t meant to encourage violence against the president. He said the image was conceived and painted by a staffer.
“He just drew it up, and that’s the way it came out,” Good said. “We didn’t talk about it being political.”
Good said he has not been contacted by anyone in law enforcement regarding the game.
Goodtime Amusements has been in business for 26 years, operating carnival-themed fundraisers throughout the Allentown region. The Obama-themed game had been running since April. Good said he had received one other complaint about it before Chapman’s.
The controversy over the game was first reported by The Express-Times of Easton.

Radio host & self proclaimed “scholar” says he was beaten by an “angry” father who hit him with the buckle end of his belt & made him bleed. Morey says his mother was just a plain “liar.” Morey says his family in general were just a bunch of “debauchers” & they raised Morey to “debauch.” Morey says his father went to whores & he sums up the situation by saying his family will die like dogs. Hank Hanegraaff, director of the Christian Research Institute & host of the “Bible Answer Man” radio show whose founder was Dr Walter Martin who was a frequent guest on the John Ankerberg Show says “Dr” Robert A. Morey of Faith Defenders, Biblical Thought, Faith Community Church (FCC), California Biblical University and Seminary (CBUS), Bob Morey Live, and Doxological Apologetics is dishonest & unscholarly. Hanegraaff’s comments come in reference to a report Morey wrote in his national “Researcher” newsletter attacking Gregory A. Boyd, author of the book, “Oneness Pentecostals and the Trinity.” Boyd’s book was endorsed by Hanegraaff & the CRI staff. In a letter by Dr. Boyd he states, “…”Truth-Seeker Bob [Morey] went after me with a vengence. He was trying to prove Hank Hanegraaff was incompetent in endorsing my book by proving that I was a heretic on the basis of my former book “Trinity and Process”. He sent letters around the country telling Christian distributors to stop selling my books because I was (among other things) a process theologian, that I denied the Incarnation, I denied the Trinity!!!, and I was, in short, a closet liberal. His tactics half worked as my book sales dropped significantly. I still get hassaling mail from people about this. Well, to make a long story short, I have never in my life encountered, or even imagined, such blatant malice, deceit, and vile ungodliness — let alone in someone who taunts himself as a Christian leader. At first I thought this was just an extraordinarily dull person (I had never heard of him before) who couldn’t read, who had an extraordinary meglomaniac streak which made him want to be a “scholar.” Hence he looked silly. But, as the case wore on, I began to see that the situation was far worse. He ‘had’ to understand my work enough to know ‘how’ to distort it. And, I began to see, he had to be lying intentionally to be so consistent and manipulative with them. This man, I finally came to see, WAS EVIL. He’s a megalomaniac with a vengence, and so far as I can see, not an ounce of honesty or integrity to curb it with. This man is, in my estimation, very bad for Christianity, and very dangerous.” The entire letter and other supporting documentation can be found by going to a hard copy pdf site on the internet called fileqube (.com)/ shfolder/10211vNiXWr and look for the report entitled “Recapping Events.” Another useful site is the saintaugustinian (.blogspot) with links to multiple internet sites & blogs that expose “Faith Defector” Robert A. Morey for what he really is which adds support & documentation to what Boyd has said.

Always something going on with Richard, whether its a song or a joke. Check out his outrageous belt buckle. He has a collection these buckles that he makes from the hubcaps of semi-tractors and other things. Big buckles for a mighty big man with a mighty big heart.
This was an interview that really shook me. Personally, I felt our politics are very different, yet our hope for a better tomorrow and our realization that it’s gonna take more than voting to get us back to the idealistic America of yesteryear was, well refreshing… it’s the first moment of the trip I felt an American unity, not the country America, but the people of America.
