I rubbed my mascara smearing it, sniffling. I ran down the hallway exiting the door. I stepped outside into the cold. It was snowing. I turned on my iPhone and texted Carolina.
(Jenn): hey c. pick me up from school. i have no ride. 
(Carolinaa): y don’t u have a ride j? what about matt?
I bit my bottom lip closing my eyes while small tears escaped from them.
(Jenn): m blew me off.
(Carolinaa): im so sorry hun! i’ll be there asap. why did he blow u off?
(Jenn): I told him we were taking it too fast.
(Carolinaa): what is that suppose to mean? what he say?
(Jenn): he called me hot. and i told him not to call me that, because we just started dating about 30 minutes ago. and besides, we weren’t dating, we were getting coffee. so yeah.
(Carolinaa): that’s dumb for blowing you off..
(Jenn): he didn’t really blow me off for that..I kinda said extra stuff..
(Carolinaa): like what?
(Jenn): Here’s what we said EXACTLY.
*”Don’t call me hot, I just met you. I bet you’re lying” I said.
*”I-I’m not Violet, how could you think that?” said m.
*”I fell in love with boys like you, too fast, too quickly and it turned out disasters, I don’t know Matthew…” I said.
“I-I do love you” He said.
*”I do too, think just going for a cup of coffee should be best. Nothing else”. I responded.
*”Why can’t we be together Georgia?”
*”I” I said softly. “I don’t trust myself with you”.
*”It doesn’t matter anyone Georgia, we’ll never be together. Goodbye” He said.
(Carolinaa): -bites her lip- um..
(Jenn): um what?
(Carolinaa): he didn’t really blow u off. u upset him. I mean I would be upset too if someone said that to me.
(Jenn): you’re on his side aren’t you!?
(Carolinaa): just get into the car.
I looked up from my iPhone and Carolina was honking her old rusty orange Chevy truck. I turned off my phone and stuck it in my backpack. I opened the side car door and sat in front by Carolina, buckling my seat belt.
“You were texting and driving?” I asked her.
“Shh!” She laughed. I didn’t laugh. I took out my phone again.
“I’m going to try to text Matt. See what’s up with him, he probably doesn’t miss me”.
(Jenn): Matt? u there?
Send. I put my phone on vibrate and stuck it back in my pocket. My side vibrated. I stared at the screen.
(Matthew): yea. what do you want? :/
I turned to Carolina. “He seems at me”. I showed her my iPhone.
(Jenn): I just wanted to say sorry.
(MatthewJohnson): I forgive you. I can’t stay mad at you forever.
(Jenn): me too. i still love you.
(Matthew): I love you too.

What could couse a seat belt light to come on when buckled up?
February 18, 2010 // Posted by: admin // Category: Chevy Belt BucklesAbout one week ago it was raining and I went to apply for a job. I parked and was inside the building for about a half hour. When I got back out my car wouldn’t start. Normally I can hear my fuel pump turn on, it couldn’t hear it come on at that point in time. After sitting for about 2 hours, I went back to tow it, it started right up and drove half way home. Then it stalled, once again, I couldn’t hear the fuel pump. I waited 10 minutes and it started up again. It drove to the shop, nevery failed once, then drove home. I haven’t had that problem since. However, now whenever I am drivng the seatbelt light will flash at me, keep in mind, I am buckled up all the time. For a test, I buckled up and moved around, nothing happened. But as soon as I start moving the vehicle it starts flashing. This is a 1996 2.2 L4 2 door chevy cavalier with a manual transmission. Any Ideas, I need some help getting this fixed.
If its a sensor, which one, and what is it called?
Raining is the key, check your fuse box, is it wet? Does it have some green corrosion? If so, you have a water leak. Probably above the door at the roof seam. Replace the bad fuses and micro-relays, see if it repairs the problem. A good national glass company can repair the water leak.
Is this car situation safe for my child?
February 14, 2010 // Posted by: admin // Category: Chevy Belt BucklesMy son is 5 1/2 years old. He is my only child, but his father, my ex, has two other children. One is 2 1/2 and the other is just a few days old. When he cam to pick up my son, he was in his 2-door Chevy Cobalt with his wife in the front seat, and his other two children in the back seat. His 2 1/2 was in a booster seat with no back and the newborn was in a pumpkin seat without a base (but strapped in). When my son went to get in the car, it was impossible for him to buckle the seat belt because the seats where too close. "Super Step-Mom" had to climb into the back seat and pry the seats apart in order to buckle him in. I have a few concerns with this, but don’t know if I am just being an over-protective mother-
1. A 2 1/2 year old should not be in a booster seat of any kind
2. The safest thing for the newborn is to be strapped in using the base
3. If there were in a car accident and someone hit them from the side, all three car seats would smash together and potentially hurt all children.
Am I being irrational? I am thinking about all the children in this situation and not just mine. It bugs me!!!

1. You are right on target. A child should not be in a booster seat until at least 4yrs olds & 40 pounds.

2. Most infant seats can safely be installed with or without the base as long as you follow the directions. So that I would have no worry about at all.

3. As long at the belts buckled I wouldn’t be worried about the ‘close quarters’… however was your child in the middle with a lap belt only? If so… it would have been *much* better to put the infant seat there. A lap only belt will safely install a carseat (not a booster)… but is not nearly as safe as a lap/shoulder combo for a passenger.

4. Aaaand… a big one you didn’t hit at all: Your child should have still been in a booster unless (by some miracle) he passes the ‘5 step test’ that most children do not pass until ages 8-10yrs.

I would not let them transport your child without a booster seat… but when it is on ‘his time’ that is gonna be tough to ‘enforce’ without approaching the discussion *very* delicately.
Perhaps the starting point could be the one you didn’t catch: "____, I just found out that ____ should really still be in a booster seat so I got him this to take along. Of course those have to be installed with a lap and shoulder belt… would you like to me to help you move the seats around?" (That will be particularly nice if your state law happens to back the ‘best practices’ and say your son should still be in a booster… if so then you can appeal to the law! Unfortunately not enough of them do.)
Of course it may be best to bring it up before loading the car… and pass on the webpages I gave you. Maybe if they look around the main page (http://www.cpsafety.com/default.aspx ) it will educate them some and solve the problem.
Slim chance maybe… but… it would help so much… as you said… to keep all those kids safer! I wish you well as you work to fix this!

I would say you have a short or open, bad connection to thesensor at the seatbelt.
