Madalyn Murray O’Hair had come to occupy a special place in the American psyche since her 1963 campaign which ended compulsory prayer in US schools after a Supreme Court action on behalf of her son William. O’Hair’s campaign succeeded, but she became the most hated woman in America (her own label), as she fought to take the name of God off the dollar bill – and her son became a born-again Christian.
Then, on a summer’s day in 1995 , she suddenly disappeared, leaving her breakfast dishes on the table – and half a million dollars missing from her organisation’s bank account.

Well, Madalyn Murray O’Haire didn’t fight to remove prayer from school; but, she fought to remove “MANDATORY” school prayer because her eldest son Bill didn’t want to say the prayer. So, Bill Murray drags Madalyn Murray O’Haire into a fight that she won for him and now he hates her for it. How pathetic Bill Murray is? Now he’s best buddies with George Bush and I’m sure they go duck hunting a lot with Dick Cheney while laughing at the demise of his own mother.

Silent, I’m glad that you found God and maybe that works for you. In my personal experience I have to discover that not one man in ten thousand people have the goodness of heart, nor the strength of mind to be an Atheist. I understand now that Atheism or Secularism isn’t for everyone because most people have bad moral principles and a WEAK MIND. God belief is a CRUTCH my friend. You need to learn how to walk without the Lord. When I discovered Atheism I have never been more responsible!!!!!!!!!!

Atheist have been dongraded and disrespected for centuries; so, when I see an Atheist musician advertising Atheism I simply look at this as being reactionary to well over 3,000 years of moral, economic, political, and social oppression. Madalyn Murray O’Hair did see the POSITIVE things in life. This is why she volunteered to adopt her grandaughter Robin from her alcholic binge drinking son who now writes books attacking his own mother. How sick is that? It’s not Madalyn’s fault that Bill Murray’s father couldn’t be a man and present a father figure for young bill in his years growing up.
