rugs and taught to pray like a Muslim? Whenever a Christian prayer is spoken or suggested in any public school, all hell breaks loose! Are we destined to become an Islamic nation through our institutions? What should we do to stop this?
Check out to doings of the Boston leaders in the several mosques

The time is coming when even the atheist will drop on their face and pray for relief, and the Muslim that is sincerely praying to Allah will be heard by God, but those that use Islam to hate and murder will be severely dealt with! I got this info about the Boston thing from an early morning talk radio show, for all you skeptics here!

Should a high school teacher be suspended opposing the wiccan religion in his classroom?

A high school teacher in Guthrie Center Iowa has been placed on suspension because as a Christian he stood up against wicca (witchcraft) namely one of his students wanted to build a wiccan (witchcraft) alter in his class and he forbade the student. But even as a Christian he still held to his beliefs but he could not allow another of his Christian students to build a Christian cross in his class. And I am sure he would have much rather had a cross that Jesus died on. Than a wiccan alter that wiccans use for wiccan (witchcraft) practices. And basically that is the defense of the teacher. He is a Christian and does not want to allow the evil practice of wicca in his classroom envirinment. And I also support him. Go to http://religionclause.blogspot.com to read more about his plight. Personally prayer in school is a great thing and needful in my eyes. But the school system is not a Christian entity. So Christians can and cannot worship freely. It is a fine line. But I think many Christians would agree we don’t want any religious practice contrary to God in our school system. Especially wicca. I saw the military at one of my bases turn a blind eye on wiccan practices. But not too much you can do to stop it in the military unless a senator or congress passes a bill into law. The late Strom Thurmond of South Carolina tried to stop it with Bob Barr but they both failed.

I do not know the whole story but why would the school allow any altars (Wiccan or other) in any classrooms?

Allowing an altar in a classroom imply the state supports one religion over another and thereby violating the Establishment clause of the 1st Amendment of the U.S. Constitution: http://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution/constitution.billofrights.html

Seems like the teacher did the right thing for the wrong reasons.

With love in Christ.

When fundy ‘christians’ can’t get their way and force ‘christian’ prayer in public school classrooms and force?

ID/Creationism into public school science classrooms, and force the 10Cs to be hung on the walls of public buildings, do they understand that the judge who disallows their demands is just following the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA?

Some people think the constitution is unclear on the separation of Church and State…and really, it is a little vague…or at least leaves room for interpretation. From context and precedence, however, the meaning is clear.

If such a thing as you described happens, I’ll be moving to Denmark.

Jesus at My School?

A puppet is doing his bedtime prayers and gets a surprise personal visit from Jesus Himself who gives him a very surprising answer to his prayer request for a messenger for his school. This is the third video in the “Jesus in My Neighborhood” series. A download is available for members on Kidology.org as well as a complete Kids Church lesson. A direct link will be added here once the lesson is added. This “sneak peek” video has been posted early.

The Buzz: Separation for church & state

The latest school battle over the separation of church and state may not feature prayers at football games, after-school Bible clubs or even a moment of silence. Actually, there’s no prayer at all.

The newest battleground could be a church building itself — and whether it’s a proper venue for public school graduation ceremonies. In school districts searching for ever-bigger venues at bargain prices, churches are an appealing (and weatherproof) alternative to civic centers, high school gyms and athletic fields.
